Walking for a few minutes into the Kashmiri Bazaar from the Wazir Khan brought us to the Golden Mosque of Lahore, also known as the Talayi Masjid. It was built in the 18th century, by the then deputy governor of Punjab, during the reign of King Muhammad Shah. The small but beautiful mosque is situated on an elevated platform in the middle of a very busy market, that's almost always teeming with shoppers. From what I have learnt, the three domes are made of wood with either gold or brass plating.
