Khudabad mosque, Sind

It seemed like a relic of the past, lost in time. The mosque though still functioning requires attention of the authorities. I had stumbled upon the Jamia Masjid Khudabad near Dadu, a part of our history not many of us even remember.
It was built under the reign of Yar Muhammad Kalhoro around 1710 AD, the then ruler of Sind. The structure has been left to decay and it seems like time has definitely taken a toll on its beauty, but there was still enough left of its former glory that captivated us and forces me to share it with you.

Scaffolding shows some signs of hope

Some water pots lying in the courtyard.
