Keenjhar is located inside district Thatta and boasts to be the country's largest freshwater lake. It provides Karachi with its drinking water.
The lake is also associated with the legendary Sindhi love story of Noori & Jam Tamachi. Noori was a local fisher woman and Jam Tamachi was a chieftain and yet against all odds they became one.
The grave of Mayi Noori is situated in the middle of the great lake.
