The Necropolis of Makli, in Thatta

Thatta is an ancient city, older than the time of Alexander the great. It reached its zenith under the Moguls as a port city and the capital of the surrounding province also called Thatta back then.
Close to the old town lies one of the biggest necropolises in the world, the Makli Hill necropolis. It contains hundreds and thousands of graves including those of sufi saints, rulers & generals. The cemetery is about 400 years old.
